Balala
North side of Franklin Islands, 28 miles south of Ceduna, West Coast of South Australia.
Balala was a cutter built in and lost on 27/07/1946. A storm drove the vessel onto rocks. When the vessel had failed to return to Ceduna by 30 July, the local Flying Doctor aircraft was dispatched to search for it. The crew were spotted on the island and a boat was dispatched to pick them up.
