Adelaide was a brigantine built in 1831 and lost on 18/04/1861. Adelaide dragged three anchors and was driven ashore during a savage south-east gale. Initially the vessel was not damaged. Within three days, the Adelaide's back was broken, the hull went to pieces and the vessel was flooded.
